Nikita is the first original women's snowboard clothing brand for girls who ride. Founded at the back of skate shop in Reykjavik in the late 90's by Heida Birgisdottir. Way back then, none of the snowboard clothing brands produced women's specific snowboard gear and the big companies did not think there was a demand for it. But Heida Birgisdottir proved them wrong. She started making her own garments and the range was an instant success. It turned out that not all girls want to wear pink or men's size XS when snowboarding. The name Nikita was chosen because it looks badass in print and everyone in the world can say it.
