The Alchemist stands tall as the flagship of our K2 Landscape Collection. A directional freeride snowboard built for the skilled rider who demands the highest level of performance, precision, and stability.

This season, we’ve taken the Alchemist to the next level with two major innovations: the all-new S1 Pro Core and Recess3D shaping. These upgrades deliver a lighter, more responsive ride without compromising the damp, stable feel the Alchemist is known for.

At its core (literally) is the S1 Pro Core. The most advanced core we’ve ever built. Hand-assembled from 78 individual wood pieces, this core is engineered for premium performance. We’ve placed ultralight paulownia in the tip and tail to reduce swing weight, making the board easier to maneuver in tight terrain or when linking fast edge-to-edge transitions. Bamboo stringers run the length of the board to dampen vibrations and absorb chatter, while aspen reinforcements underfoot provide added strength and snappy energy transfer where you need it most.

To complement this next-gen core, we’ve evolved our Recess3D shaping technology. A state-of-the-art core milling process, using precision CNC machining, material is removed from the center of the tip and tail to eliminate excess weight, while the edges remain thicker for added structure. This subtle 3D shaping helps keep the board planted and chatter-free during high-speed turning, while also stiffening the mid-body for more control without adding bulk. It’s a noticeable improvement in feeling-lighter, quicker, and more confidence-inspiring from the first turn to the last.

The Alchemist also features our Spectral Braid™, a variable-angle fiber weave that fine-tunes the flex for strong edge hold and smooth, predictable turn initiation. In the nose, SpaceGlass™ cuts weight, boosts edge pressure, and dampens vibration for a more stable ride in unpredictable terrain.

Year over year, the Alchemist holds its ground as the most premium offering in freeride snowboarding today.

• Recess3D — By reducing the number of materials in low-stress zones, we’re able to minimize the swing weight of your snowboard while also reducing chatter in the tip and tail - all without sacrificing strength.
• Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base — Built using the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.
• S1 Pro Core — The next level of our freeride specific cores. With ultralight Paulownia in the tip, tail and throughout the midbody to reduce swing weight, Bamboo stringers provide damping and absorb chatter, while Aspen underfoot adds pop and durability. Every piece - strategically placed and assembled by hand - this is the most premium core we’ve ever made.
• Spectral Braid™ — K2’s Patented (U.S. Patent No. 10,857, 445) Spectral Braid is a first of its kind variable angle reinforcement that allows for precision tuned torsion and flex by altering the fiber orientation along the length of the snowboards. This makes our snowboards feel lively, energetic, and remarkably composed.
• SpaceGlass™ — An American made Aerospace grade precure fiberglass core insert used to provide unmatched structural performance at reduced weight. SpaceGlass™ inserts increase edge hold along contact points, reduce chatter, and provide unequaled durability.
